How much does our 3D product configurator cost?

Our pricing model consists of two parts:

  • One-time implementation/ setup fee - this covers the work needed to set up and implement the software to suit your business case.
  • Monthly SaaS fee - this is an ongoing fee for access to the software, updates, support, and cloud hosting.

3D Configurator: Implementation

We offer a ready-made 3D product configuration platform with built-in rules for modular products. However, no two businesses have identical products and needs. Each product is unique and requires implementation and setup within the platform.

Typical 3D Configurator Setup Cost Ranges

The cost of implementation depends largely on the complexity of your product offerings, how much customization is required, and your use case (where and how the 3D product configurator will be used).

  • Simple customization - for businesses with relatively simple products and low product customization, implementation cost usually starts from €5K. However, the cost may increase depending on the number of products.
  • Medium complexity - for businesses with more advanced product building logic, multiple configurable products, and moderate integrations, implementation costs typically start from €20K and can go up based on complexity.
  • Complex customization - if your business requires a high degree of customization, complex integrations, or a large volume of configurable products, the implementation could take several months, with implementation costs reaching €50K or higher.

What's included in the implementation/setup fee?

The setup fee is a one-time charge for getting everything up and running. This covers:

1. Implementation of Your Product(s)

We add your products and 3D assets to the configurator, apply the right product rules, set up accessories, materials, and configuration logic to ensure error-free designs and proper SKU structure.

2. 3D Modelling

To implement the configurator, we need 3D models of your products. If you don't have them, no problem! We can create them as separate services, or you can also use a third party for this. Once we receive the models, we'll check their quality (some optimization may be needed to guarantee the best visual performance in the configurator). Read more in our 3D Modelling Guide.

3. IT Integrations

Webshop, eCommerce, ERP, CRM, PIM, etc. We offer free native plugins for popular eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce (WordPress). For other integrations, we'll review jointly - there is a good chance that we have experience with your specific integrations!

4. Support During Setup

Our team will work closely with you to ensure everything is implemented correctly, from the first setup to live deployment.

Factors that affect the setup fee:

  • Product complexity - how your product can be configured, what product-building logic is required, the number of parts, materials, accessories, the number of SKUs, how they are created and the pricing rules may affect the setup fee.
  • Integration needs - connecting our software to your current systems, like your ERP, CRM, or eCommerce platforms, may take extra time and effort.
  • Customization - if your business requires specific features, visual elements, or unique customer journeys, this will affect the implementation time and cost.

The Monthly SaaS Fee: What's included

Once your configurator is set up and ready to go, you’ll have a monthly subscription that ensures seamless access to the platform. We offer different pricing plans to match your business needs and budget.

What's included in the monthly fee:

  • Access to the Software - the core of the monthly fee is access to our 3D product configuration software.
  • Improvements and Updates - we continually develop new features for our software, adding new features, security patches, and enhancements.
  • Cloud Hosting and Maintenance - we make sure the software is available, secure, and running smoothly.
  • Support - our team is available to assist with troubleshooting and answer any questions you might have as your business evolves.
